Happy July!
I can’t believe we are halfway through the year already. It’s been a whirlwind and even though things are difficult right now, I do feel empowered, encouraged and excited about what’s to come. I’m so grateful for the support you all have given me and the work that I do and I wanted to share with you my latest venture.
I've loved being a multi-hyphenate because I love being able to explore my different skillsets. Music was my first love, but acting gave me confidence. Activism gave me purpose and content creation gave me a voice. Substack made me confident in my writing and social media connected me with all of you. But today I’m excited to announce that I’m officially stepping into the role of Executive Director at The New Evangelicals (TNE).
For those who don’t know, TNE is a digital-first nonprofit committed to dismantling Christian Nationalism and helping people navigate faith, politics, and culture through a lens of justice, compassion, and truth. I’ve been part of this community for years—serving on the board, collaborating behind the scenes, and now taking the lead as we enter a new season of growth.
This work matters deeply to me. I’ve spent much of my life at the intersection of faith, activism, and storytelling—as an artist, an advocate, and a person who knows how hard it is to keep your faith in such a truly messed up world. That’s why I believe so strongly in what TNE is doing.
What started as a way for our founder
to process his feelings about faith and the world around us, turned into a movement.TNE as an organization offers:
Educational Media: Weekly podcasts, Instagram reels, YouTube videos, and more that break down theology, politics, and current events while combatting Christian nationalism. We are also launching our
Substack on July 22nd to feature even more voices. If you are interested in submitting to have your writing featured please fill out our submission form here. The TNE Connect App: A private space for thoughtful conversation, learning, and community support away from the noise of social media. Download here.
Courses & Resources: Free access to scholars, pastors, politicians and experts on topics like justice, scripture, theology, and activism.
Real Advocacy: We don’t just talk about justice but we’re actively building partnerships, amplifying diverse voices, and working to hold those in power accountable.
Our goal is to offer a better path forward in faith, politics and culture. A path that is rooted in equity, empathy, and love.
Whether you are a person of faith or not, if this mission speaks to you, please consider donating to this organization and being a part of the movement. You can visit the website here. I feel so honored to be leading the next phase of this organization and I hope you will join me. <3
congratulations! can't wait to see (remotely) what unfolds next!
Congratulations! They’re lucky to have you! We need more people like you in this world. We will defeat their hateful movement.
